Clara hummed, curning her back to him. He left the bedroom and went to the front door, receiving a package from a delivery driver. However, when he came back, he was empty–handed. 

Clara asked him if there was something urgent at work 

Erhan said, “Nothing, don’t worry. I’ll go and make you breakfast” 

He made a lavish breakfast, perhaps to make up for his absence from their anniversary. There were milk, eggs, bread, jam, and her favorite oatmeal
