Chapter 33

(Lily’s POV)

Tears welled in my eyes as I looked around the room.

My breath hitched, and I brought a trembling hand to my mouth. Everywhere I turned- there I was… my face caught in angles I didn’t even know were beautiful. But he did.

I looked down, and Zion was crouched in front of me, holding my hands warmly in his. His blue eyes looked brighter in the soft golden light, intense but kind.

He chuckled softly. “As you can see… I’m very obsessed with you.”

He squeezed my fingers gently. “I’ve loved you all my life.”

I was speechless.

Zion- the charming, graceful prince I had once admired from a distance, the school’s golden boy, the one I’d thought was too perfect for someone like me… had loved me too.

All this time.

My heart throbbed, and a hot tear slipped down my cheek.

Ravena howled softly inside me, and Vaelith, my demon half, glowed with warmth. For once, both halves of me were at

peace.

Zion stood and sat beside me, still holding my hand like it grounded him. His thumb brushed over my knuckles.

“I’m serious about you,” he said, his voice low and husky. “I want to court you properly. I want to marry you, Lily.”

He looked down at our joined hands, then back into my eyes.

“I’ll end things with Celeste as soon as I can. I’ll talk to my parents, tell them the truth. And when the time is right…”

He paused, voice trembling. “I’ll mark you before the entire kingdom.”

A sob escaped me as I wiped another tear off my cheek.

“I’d love that,” I whispered.

His arms wrapped around me instantly, and I melted into his warmth, holding him as tightly as I could.

“Thank you,” he whispered against my hair.

We were going to start over. A clean slate.

A chance to write our own story, this time without shame, secrecy, or pain.

I didn’t want the moment to end… and somehow, our lips found each other again.

Chapter 33

Soft at first, a simple kiss of relief and hope. Then deeper, fiercer like the storm inside us hadn’t passed… it had only been waiting.

I barely realized how fast he moved until my back hit the mattress again. My dress was pushed up around my hips, and his hands tugged at my panties.

“Z–Zion-”

His lips were already trailing fire down my stomach, his breath hot, his mouth wet as he kissed his way between my thighs.

I was already pulsing with need. Still sore from last night, yet my body opened to him like he was the only one it knew.

His tongue met my clit, and I moaned aloud, hips rising off the bed. My fingers tangled in his hair.

He groaned against me like he was starved. Each flick of his tongue made my thighs tremble, each suck on that sensitive nub sending me spiraling.

I barely lasted. My entire body tensed before shattering in bliss, crying out as his tongue coaxed every ounce of pleasure from me.

Just as I was catching my breath, we both froze…

“Zion? Lily?” Zelda’s voice came loudly.

Zion dropped his forehead to my thigh and groaned in pure frustration.

“We could just ignore her…” he whispered, licking his lips.

I giggled, breathless, kissing him quickly. “Later,” I whispered, sliding off the bed and reaching for my panties.

I had barely reached the main door when he came up behind me and kissed my neck, slow and teasing. I gasped, my back arching as he pressed me lightly against the door.

His hands slid into my panties.

“Z–Zion…” I whispered, just as his fingers found me, slick and sensitive.

He slid them in deep. I gripped the handle to keep from moaning.

Zelda knocked again, harder this time. “Lily? Are you okay?”

I bit my lip hard, fighting the moan that bubbled up.

Zion watched me with dark, amused eyes as I trembled in his hold. My climax hit fast, strong, and he helped me ride out… then he gently pulled my panties back up and kissed my cheek.
