Ch. His Infidelity 21 His Infidelity 21

21

Reed’s POV

What Haven didn’t know was that if she hadn’t brought up the past, she might not have ended up in such a miserable state.

The moment the words left her lips, my expression shifted drastically. Disgust twisted my face, and in an instant, it was as if I had become a completely different person. With a merciless kick, I sent her sprawling to the floor.

“Get out of my sight!” I roared. “Everything I ever did for you-those were the biggest mistakes of my life!”

My voice thundered through the room as I barked to the bodyguards nearby, “Take her away. No anesthesia. Proceed with the abortion immediately!”

Then, turning back toward the trembling woman, my voice darkened. “Everything Willow sufferec -all the traps she fell into, the torment she endured because of Haven-I want her to pay it all back. Double.”

Haven’s POV

I froze for a second, the pain in my belly temporarily forgotten. Panic seized me.

I dropped to my knees and kowtowed frantically, my voice trembling with desperation. “Reed, you can’t… you can’t do this to me and the baby!”

Tears streaked down my face as I pleaded. “I only wanted to have you! I didn’t do anything!”

“All the things that hurt Willow-you were the one who did them, not me!” I cried. “I thought you hated her, that you wanted her gone. I was just going along with your wishes!”

“You made those decisions yourself! You can’t pin this all on me now!” My voice rose into a shrill, hopeless scream.

But Reed stared down at me coldly, his eyes twisted with loathing.

“Who told you to assume anything?” he spat. “Did I ever tell you whether I loved Willow or not?” “The truth is she’s the only person I’ve ever loved in this lifetime. You?” He glared at me. “Being with you was the biggest mistake I ever made.”

“The thing I regret most…” he muttered, “was ever getting involved with you after you came back to this city.”

Then he swung his hand and slapped me hard across the face.

The sound echoed harshly through the room. My head whipped to the side, my cheek instantly swelling up. My entire body curled in on itself as I trembled, eyes wide with terror.

Tears poured down my face. I no longer dared to argue and no longer tried to twist the truth. All I could do was beg-for mercy, not for myself, but for the baby in my belly.

“Reed, I know I was wrong. I’ll beg for Willow’s forgiveness. I’ll beg as many times as she wants. I’ll let her do whatever she wants to me, but please… Please don’t take the baby away.”

“Just let me keep it. I’ll stay far away from you and Willow. I’ll disappear completely. You’ll never have to see me again,” I promised.

I was sobbing uncontrollably by then, pleading with every ounce of my being. But my cries fell on deaf ears.

I couldn’t understand-how had Reed changed so suddenly?

Not long ago, he had looked at me and the child with such tenderness. He had been gentle and caring; he had acted like he wanted to give me the world.

But ever since Willow left, he had become a monster-cruel, ruthless, and completely unrecognizable.

I wanted nothing more than to escape this hell. I no longer wished to stay by his side. But I didn’t get the chance.

In the end, I was dragged away, screaming.

Not long after, the private doctor arrived at the villa.

Reed had made it clear-no anesthesia. So the moment the procedure began, I screamed at the

op of my lungs until my cries echoed through every corner of that villa.

Reed’s POV

Her agony reverberated through every corner of the villa.

But to hell with that.

Honestly? All I felt was an overwhelming sense of irritation.

Turning away, I strode toward the door and gave Kade one final order.

‘When it’s over, toss her back in the operating room. And remember-don’t let her die too quickly

Make sure she suffers every bit of pain Willow went through.”

With that, I walked out of the villa, keeping my expression tight but blank.

At that moment, there was only one thing on my mind.

I have to find Willow and beg for her forgiveness.’
