Vincent’s POV

I was feeling a sudden ease at my heart, almost as if I forgot something important or losing something important.

Actually, I had been getting this feeling the day I left home. And now, the feeling was getting stronger by the second, almost making my heart burn.

Did something happen back at the mansion? Did something happen to Isabella?

I pulled out my phone and called Isabella’s number. A dozen tries, still no one answered.

Now I was officially panicked. Why the hell wasn’t Isabella answering her damn phone?

I got off the bed, pulling on my jacket and pants, ready to walk out of the room. But Rosa’s voice stopped me. “Vincent, where are you going?”

“I have to go back to check on Isabella. She’s not answering her phone.”

Rosa’s voice trembled, almost crying out. “So you’re just going to leave me here? Alone?”

That’s right. I can’t go back. Going back means leaving Rosa all alone in this house.

I clenched my jaw, trying to steady my thoughts, but something inside me felt wrong—deeply, dangerously wrong. Isabella always answered, even when she was furious with me. Even when she didn’t want to speak to me, she picked up just to throw an insult my way.

Silence wasn’t like her.

I yanked the phone out again and dialed another number.

“Marco,” I snapped the moment my right-hand man picked up. “Give me an update on Isabella. Now.”

There was a long pause on the other end of the line. Too long.

“Boss…” Marco finally spoke, his voice careful, hesitant. “You should come back.”

Something inside me went ice cold.

“What happened?” My voice dropped dangerously low.

Another pause.

“Isabella is gone.”

For a second, I didn’t understand his words. They didn’t make sense.

Gone? What the fuck did that mean? Isabella couldn’t be gone. She was at the mansion. She was pregnant. She couldn’t just vanish.

I exhaled sharply. “You have exactly five seconds to explain before I fly back there and put a bullet in someone’s skull, Marco.”

“She left, Vincent,” Marco admitted, his voice urgent. “And not just her. The Rossi family came for her.”

Everything stopped. My breath. My thoughts. My fucking heart.

The Rossis.

I gripped the edge of the table to steady myself. “The Rossi family?” I repeated, my voice eerily calm.

“Yes,” Marco confirmed. “She’s with them now. Her real family, Vincent.”

My vision blurred with a red haze. I had always known Isabella had secrets, but this… This wasn’t just a secret. This was war.

My wife, the woman carrying my child, wasn’t just some woman. She was a Rossi.

And I had let her go.

I turned sharply, grabbing my keys and heading for the door.

“Vincent, no!” Rosa sobbed behind me. “You promised me! You promised you’d stay!”

I barely spared her a glance. “I never promised you anything,” I said coldly. “And I’m done playing your games.”

Then, without another word, I walked out the door, dialing the number of the pilot.

Because I was going home.

And I was bringing Isabella back—no matter what it took.
