It seemed some enormously important figure had come to Riverspire, someone so significant that even the Leonards of Imperia felt the need to extend goodwill of their own accord and present a Saint Realm spear. 

He just had no idea who exactly this big shot was, but if he had the good fortune to make their acquaintance, it would surely bring the Younts tremendous benefit. 

As the celebration banquet reached its halfway point, Teagan grew more and more distracted, and less and less interested in Seamus. 

Finally she couldn’t take it anymore and, grabbing the first excuse she could find, said, “Mom, something just came up. I’m going to head home.” 

Rosie couldn’t shake the feeling that Teagan was acting a little strange today, but she didn’t say anything. 

Meanwhile, at the Webb Residence. 

A stunningly beautiful figure appeared in the doorway, a spear in her hand, cutting a dashing and spirited figure and radiating nobility. 

It was none other than Jennifer, who had just left the Yount Residence. 

“So this is the Webb Residence. A moment ago Mr. Reed said it was Seamus who wanted me to bring this Saint Realm spear here…” Jennifer’s mind was full of confusion. 

Wasn’t Seamus back at the Yount Residence? Then who was the person on the phone with Mr. Reed? 

Right at that moment, a voice came from inside the house. “Come on in.” 

Jennifer stopped dwelling on it and hurried inside. 

She saw a young man who bore a slight resemblance to Seamus, though clearly a good deal more mature, sitting on the couch. 

At a single glance she read Skyler’s cultivation and couldn’t help frowning to herself. “How is

he only at the first stage of the Innate Realm…”

It wasn’t that she looked down on the first stage of the Innate Realm, but rather that what the Leonards needed was a powerhouse, capable of breaking through to the Heavenly Realm in the shortest possible time. 

The gap between the two was simply far too vast. 

“So you’re that Leonard girl of that old man Israel mentioned?” Skyler’s gaze swept lightly over Jennifer. 

To have the cultivation of the ninth stage of the Innate Realm at such a young age, she was every bit the child of a Heavenly Realm lineage, far outstripping an ordinary prodigy like Seamus. 

Jennifer was slightly startled. Old man Israel? Could he possibly mean Israel Reed, the Commander himself? 

This kid’s cultivation wasn’t much, but he sure didn’t talk small. 

And he’d actually dared to call her some “Leonard girl,” in the tone of a crusty old-timer, no 

less. 

“Who are you?” Jennifer was somewhat displeased. 

Skyler couldn’t help but laugh. “Israel had you deliver a spear to me, and you don’t even know who I am?” 

Jennifer’s expression changed at once, and she couldn’t help exclaiming, “You’re Seamus?” 

Could there be two people named Seamus in Riverspire, and could this person before me be the Heavenly Realm expert Mr. Reed had spoken of? 

“My name is Skyler,” Skyler said calmly. 

Jennifer was even more bewildered, and at the same time she drew the hand holding the spear back, letting out a cold snort. “Sorry, but I can only hand this spear to Seamus in person.” 

“That’s not up to you.” Skyler rose from the couch. 

Jennifer gave a scornful smile, for she was an expert at the ninth stage of the Innate Realm, and what she cultivated was the Leonards’ ultimate art, the Void Azure Dragon Force, which put her strength far above that of others at the same level. 

This kid in front of her had a mere first stage Innate Realm cultivation, so did he really have

The moment Skyler dared make a move, she wouldn’t mind teaching him a good lesson. 

The instant Skyler took a single step forward, Jennifer’s expression changed completely. 

She felt an overwhelming wave of a terror the likes of which she had never once sensed from anyone before. 

All around her, heaven and earth seemed to change color, turning into mountains of corpses and seas of blood. 

The Skyler before her was no longer any young man of the Innate Realm, but plainly a god of slaughter out of ancient times, carrying all before him with no one able to withstand him. 

From nothing more than the light sweep of his gaze, she was struck by a terror as though the heavens and earth were collapsing, the world overturning, and her very soul being torn apart. 

“What powerful spiritual power, what a terrifying killing intent!” Jennifer went pale with shock and abruptly bit down on the tip of her tongue. 

Intense, stabbing pain and the taste of blood filled her mouth, and only then did she wrench herself free from the influence of Skyler’s spiritual power. 

But almost at the same instant, she felt her hands go empty, and somehow, at some point she hadn’t even caught, that Saint Realm spear had already appeared in Skyler’s grip. 

“You…” Shock and fury warred within Jennifer. “Just who on earth are you?” 

This Skyler before her clearly didn’t have much cultivation, yet that killing intent and spiritual power were absolutely not something an ordinary person could possess. 

Skyler didn’t answer, but instead gave the spear in his hand a shake, and a dragon’s cry rang out, shaking the sky. 

Then he nodded. “Not bad, I suppose. It’ll just barely do, though it’s a shame it’s missing a certain spark of spirit. 

“I should have spared the Silverwyrm’s life back then and drawn out its soul to forge into the spear. There might well have been a chance to forge a true ‘Heavenly Weapon.” 

Listening to Skyler’s words, Jennifer was so shocked the spot between her brows kept twitching. 

Skyler was talking far too big. He called even a Saint Realm weapon merely passable, and yet he actually

wanted to forge a “Heavenly Weapon.”

And did he even realize the Silverwyrm had been at the peak of the Saint Realm, one that had threatened the western border for years, one that even Israel had been powerless to deal with, until the youngest five- star general, Seamus, stepped in… 

Wait! 

Jennifer’s pupils suddenly contracted sharply. 

Could the person in front of her be that very Seamus? But he’d clearly just said his name was Skyler, so what on earth was going on? 

Skyler, however, showed no intention of explaining, and said calmly, “Israel already told me about the Leonards’ situation, but I’m not particularly interested in you. 

“For Israel’s sake, and seeing as you came all this way just to deliver a spear to me, from now on, if there’s anything about cultivation you don’t understand, you’re welcome to come ask 

me.” 

Hearing this, Jennifer’s mouth fell open, because she’d never expected that before she’d even said a word, Skyler had already turned her down. 

Given her status and her beauty, that had never once happened before.
