My amplified voice carried clearly to every corner of the venue. “I’m calling on every girl who has been slandered, mocked, or made to feel ashamed of her body.
“Stand up and be brave! Fight back agaitist the scum who take pleasure in your pain!
“To celebrate this special day, I’m donating every dollar this estate earns today.
“The money will establish the Stronger Girls Fund to encourage girls who are ready to make a change. Anyone who successfully loses weight will receive a $1,000 award!”
The crowd erupted the moment I finished speaking.
The guests who had come only for the spectacle were now clapping and cheering wildly.
The livestream chats exploded.
“Sophie is incredible! That is what a queen looks like!”
“God almighty, she just gave away $1.5 million!”
“Those bullies deserve to be exposed. We’re with her!”
I let the deafening cheers wash over me, then turned to Jack, whose face had gone grim.
I spoke quietly into the microphone, “Jack, I have a wedding gift for you as well. I hope you like it.”
I glanced down, and Harrison pressed a button on the remote in his hand.
The image on the 4K LED wall changed again.
This time, the screams were ten times louder than before.
On the 4K LED wall were screenshots of private messages showing Ella trying to seduce Harrison into waiving the venue fee.
Below the messages were a dozen or so extremely explicit private photos.
In the photos, Ella struck one obscene pose after another.
Her face was perfectly clear. The woman in the photos was unmistakably the bride standing there in white.
The place boiled over.
Whistles, jeers and abuse all ran together.
Jack stared at the 4K LED wall, his eyes bulging as if they might pop out of his head.
A humiliation on that scale shattered whatever reason he had left.
“Ella! You bitch!” Jack roared like a wild animal.
Only then did Ella snap out of her daze. Screaming, she jumped up and tried to block the enormous 4K LED wall with her hands.
She was nowhere near tall enough to reach the bottom line of text.
“Don’t look! They’re all fake! They’re AI–generated!”

She flailed her arms wildly, completely out of control.
walked over and looked down at the bride and groom.
“Congratulations. May you stay together forever. A million dollars in debt and a cheating bride really are a perfect match.”
With that, I turned and walked straight off the stage without looking at either of them again.
I walked lightly across the lawn in my heels. Outside the estate, the sun was shining.
A few days later.
Morning sunlight streamed through the floor–to–ceiling window and spilled across the yoga mat.
I finished a set of stretches and picked up my phone.
A video was going viral across social media.
The title read, “Fake Socialite’s Wedding Implodes: Groom Beats Bride on the Lawn!”
I pressed play.
One of the guests had clearly recorded it on the sly. The footage shook violently.
Jack looked crazed as he pinned Ella in the mud and punched and kicked her. “You liar! You filthy bitch!”
He cursed wildly as he beat her. “I treated you so well, and you still seduced another man! Now you expect me to take on more than a million dollars in debt!
“Drop dead!”
Ella’s expensive wedding gown was already in tatters. Covered in mud, she lay on the ground and begged desperately, “Jack, stop! Please stop!”
Suddenly, she let out an agonized scream. “My nose! My chin!”
The video zoomed in.
Ella’s once–delicate face, the face she had taken such pride in, was now a horrifying sight.
The implant from her recent nose job had been knocked sharply to one side.
Her chin was out of alignment too, making her whole face look like a cheap plastic doll.
The comments were nothing but mockery.
“I can’t stop laughing. Now she really is a monster.”
“Anyone vain enough to disown her own parents deserves exactly this!”
“That’s right. Someone that vicious and cruel deserves to be punished.”
The same trolls who had once attacked me online now turned on Ella with several times the malice they had shown me.
Every one of her social media accounts was flooded with abuse.
Every time she surfaced online, people called for a boycott and hurled abuse at her. She had become a total pariah.

I scrolled past all of it calmly and opened my own page.
follower count had passed ten million and was still soaring at a staggering rate.
Countless girls had left me messages.
“Sophie, you’re my absolute idol!”
“I’ve signed up at a gym. I’m going to turn my life around like you did!”
I set down my phone and took a sip of my coffee, black and unsweetened.
Outside the window, the wind carried away the last fallen leaf.
The seven–year nightmare was finally, completely over.
