Seamus flew into a rage. “That’s a load of crap! Skyler, if you’ve got the guts to fight me today, just watch me crush you!” 

Skyler couldn’t even be bothered to spare Seamus another glance, and merely let his voice ring out indifferently. “As if you’re even worth it!” 

With that, Skyler simply headed for the back row together with Helen.

“That’s not up to you!” Seamus roared and suddenly charged at Skyler. 

The aura of his second-stage Innate Realm cultivation erupted all at once, and at the same moment everyone felt a scorching aura scatter outward in every direction. 

Seamus’s body was like a furnace, like a volcano. 

“What is that?” The crowd broke into startled cries. 

A well-informed student quickly recognized Seamus’s constitution. “It’s the Crimson Flame Body!” 

“That’s right, the governor came in person to Seamus’s celebration banquet two days ago and gave him an earthflame pill that can be used to cultivate the Crimson Flame Body. I never thought Seamus would develop it so fast.” 

“Legend has it that once the Crimson Flame Body is developed, the power of fire fills one’s internal energy, making a person at least three times stronger than a martial artist at the same level!” 

Only then did everyone suddenly understand. No wonder Seamus was so confident he could beat Skyler. 

“That’s right, it’s the Crimson Flame Body!” Seamus let out a vicious grin. “Skyler, now die!” 

He flashed forward in an instant and threw a punch, and the roar of a titan rang out with it. 

Just the sound pouring into their ears brought a scorching aura sweeping over their faces, as if it would scald and tear apart their very energy channels. 

The next instant, the phantom of an ancient titan came stomping toward Skyler, about to trample him into a pulp on the spot. 

“This is bad!” Helen, off to the side, went pale with shock. “Skyler, look out!” 

Standing right next to Skyler, she could feel the sheer terror of Seamus’s punch more than anyone, and it gave her the sense that it was utterly unstoppable. 

Yet Skyler’s expression didn’t change in the slightest. He merely turned slightly to the side and shot a sidelong glance at Seamus, who was attacking with everything he had.

Without any flourish whatsoever, Skyler swung a backhanded slap. 

“Roar!” Amid an agonized cry, the phantom of the ancient titan collapsed on the spot.

An instant later, Skyler’s slap landed hard across Seamus’s face, and Seamus’s body was sent tumbling backward out of control as he violently spat out a huge mouthful of blood. 

In an instant the whole place went dead silent, because no one had expected that Seamus, who’d developed the Crimson Flame Body, would be sent flying by a single slap from Skyler. 

“This…” Everyone was utterly dumbstruck. 

Freya especially wore a face full of disbelief. 

After all, Seamus had developed the Crimson Flame Body and was at least three times stronger than others at the same level, yet against Skyler he’d proved so utterly fragile. 

As for Seamus, the shame and fury in his heart had reached an absolute peak. 

“How is this possible? How is this possible?” 

No matter what, he couldn’t accept that Skyler, the good-for-nothing in his eyes, was actually this much stronger than him. 

The searing, stinging pain on his face especially, with the red spreading through his bloodshot eyes, made Seamus feel a humiliation like never before. 

“Skyler, I want you dead!” Seamus roared. 

But the moment the words left his mouth, a shiver ran down his spine. 

“You want me dead? Then I’ll just have to strike first.” A cold killing intent glinted in Skyler’s 

eyes. 

He hadn’t cared to bother with Seamus to begin with, but Seamus had provoked him again and again, and now had the nerve to say something like “I want you dead,” so Skyler wasn’t about to indulge him. 

Seamus felt as if he’d been plunged into a pit of ice, an unprecedented sense of danger closing over his entire body.

“You… what are you trying to do?” Seamus’s mouth went dry, and even his voice turned hoarse. 

But before he’d even finished speaking, Skyler took a single step forward.

An utterly terrifying spiritual power came bearing down as though to blot out the sky, and Seamus felt that the thing before him wasn’t human at all, but a supreme demon god. 

One look from him would break Seamus’s mind and leave him dead in both body and spirit. 

“This is bad!” Caught in that intense, life-or-death crisis, Seamus went pale with shock. 

Though Freya, off to the side, had no idea what was going on, she could tell something was wrong with Seamus. 

She immediately stepped forward and shouted angrily, “Skyler, what do you think you’re doing? Stop this right now!”. 

Skyler merely swept a light glance over her, and Freya instantly felt something detonate in her mind with a roar, her spirit rocked to its core, her mind going utterly blank. 

“How can this be?” It was the very first time Freya had felt how terrifying Skyler truly was. 

Merely a single glance, and yet it was like the fury of a demon god, leaving her afraid to hold even the slightest thought of resistance. 

“Could I really have chosen wrong?” Freya couldn’t help but wonder.
